Our summer-inspired booth at a top Hamptons art fair.

We’re excited to be exhibiting at Market Art + Design, the Hamptons’ premier modern and contemporary art fair. Since it’s summertime here at one of the east coast’s favorite vacation destinations, we’ve brought together a selection of Twyla work inspired by sun, water, the history of this long-time artist community and even the traditional polo matches! Our booth features a few new releases, pieces by Twyla artists who live and work in the Hamptons and a stunning virtual reality experience by acclaimed designer and Twyla artist Tom Hancocks. If you’re not in Bridgehampton this weekend, scroll on and get a walkthrough of all the art from wherever you are.

Laurent Elie Badessi

Laurent Elie Badessi was born into a family of photographers and continues four generations of photographic practice. Starting his career in his native France, Badessi spent time working abroad before relocating to the United States in the 1990s.

Aldara Ortega

A self-taught photographer and mixed media artist, Aldara merges her own reflective experiences with those of her subjects, creating underwater light-filled works.

Stanley Casselman

Stanley Casselman is an abstract expressionist painter whose most notorious series started with a dare, of sorts. When a well-known art critic posted a challenge to “paint him a fake Richter” (referring to German artist Gerhard Richter), Stanley responded. His Inhaling Richter and Luminor paintings have since fetched more than six figures at auction.

Marina Vernicos

Marina Vernicos’ family business, Vernicos Yachts, played a crucial role in her formative years as an individual and as an artist by virtue of being surrounded by the world’s most unspoiled island life and rich history. She has perfected the art of capturing the sea.

Matthew Satz

Matthew Satz is forging his own path in the art world. By drawing upon historical lineages and engaging unique practices, Satz refines and redefines terms in developing a signature evolution of painting.

Nick Turner

Horses have a large influence not only on Turner’s life, but also his art. He believes the connection helps him understand human nature, and the delicacy of humans. Horses carry some of the most pure and sensitive emotions of any animal he has ever been around, which drives his desire to be a part of their tribe. Turner often shoots photos of himself with the animal.

Jeff Muhs

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Jeff’s abstract compositions mimic the organic forms and vivid yet natural colors of the environment. The soft, meditative quality of his work encourages viewers to take a moment for self-reflection. He uses multiple techniques such as dripping, smearing, and pouring paint directly onto the canvas to achieve varying effects.

Elena Lyakir

Elena seeks to discover how emotions and memories are captured in photographs by creating art that is intimate and emotive and to help her understand the ever-evolving complexities of the world we live in. With nature and birds as the foundation of her art, and her subjects of choice, she explores ideas connected to her own experience of immigration.
