The 1960s Architectural Landmark That Inspires a Berlin Artist Michelle Jezierski shows us her one of her favorite spaces—the Berlin Philharmonic.

Painter Michelle Jezierski combines vivid color and graphic patterns to create kaleidoscopic landscapes. Born, educated and currently based in Berlin, Michelle Jezierski was raised by two American classical musicians. In this video, we join Michelle inside Berlin's Philharmonic Concert Hall, a space she unsurprisingly visited frequently as a child, since her father played in the Philharmonic. Designed by architect Hans Scharoun, the building opened in 1963. While controversial at the time, the Berlin Philharmonic has become an architectural icon, as well as a model for concert hall design around the world. Watch and find out more about Michelle and how this unique space inspires her work.
